Abstract

The most common pathologies are immunodeficiencies in young animals and birds, which significantly reduces the effect of specific immunization and negatively affects the survival rate of livestock. In this regard, the synthesis of immunostimulants aimed at reducing immunosuppressive conditions in animals and poultry has been widely developed. A review of studies evaluating the effect of various immunostimulant drugs (sodium thiosulfate, ASD-2, fosprenyl, vestin, polycarbonate, ribotan, interferon, placentin, immunate, thymogen, salmopula, apistimulin, trimetasone, Biferon-b, lydium-KLP levamizole, etc.) on the level of specific protection expressed in antibody titers during animal immunization bacterial (salmonellosis, colibacteriosis, leptospirosis, listeriosis, tuberculosis, streptococcosis, pasteurellosis, etc.) and viral (infectious rhinotracheitis of cattle, viral diarrhea-mucosal disease, parainfluenza-3, rot-, coronaviruses, infectious bursal disease of birds, viral hepatitis of ducklings, Marek’s disease, Aujeska, Gumboro, Newcastle, plague of carnivores, infectious laryngotracheitis, bronchitis of birds, etc.), fungal (trichophytia, microsporia) and other pathogens of infectious diseases showed a high effect of their use. The presented literature review shows the lack of a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of immunostimulant drugs in animal vaccination and does not allow to identify and determine the most effective remedy. The data on the use of immunostimulants in animal immunization showed a high preventive effect, but there are very few studies on the comparative effectiveness of this class of veterinary drugs, which includes more than 11 groups. A comprehensive study of the effects of different drugs on the effectiveness of a single vaccine would allow for an objective assessment of their effectiveness, which would optimize veterinary preventive measures.
